for the love of gardening
i don’t know if i actually like gardening, or like the idea of liking gardening. but nonetheless the house is now full of plants, and a few more will come during the next few weeks.
seems like another one of the hobbies or things i did with my family during childhood that i am picking up again. other than that i am back to my “nature explorer” phase, walking in woods and parks with my dog, and taking a stab at playing the piano – though this last one is really a very long shot.

one of the things that still hasn’t ceased to amaze me is the patience of dutch drivers when a car or truck decides to stop in the middle of the street to unload things. no honks, no shouting, just civilized waiting. if we were in brazil, the least someone would do is shout… verbal and physical confrontation would be considered. and depending on the city, duck and hide!

studying a language is not an easy task. spent 3 hours today conjugating Dutch verbs… :-S
